High and low carbon steels are folded and forged together, then ground and etched so the layers read the full length. The pattern comes out of the forge rather than off a stencil, so no two blades in the set are alike.

Handle: Wood with Brass Bolsters

Walnut scales behind a solid brass bolster, shaped to sit forward in a pinch grip. Walnut darkens a little with use, so the set looks better in a year than it does on the day it arrives.
