Sixty seven layers folded around a hard core, ground and etched so the wave pattern runs the full length. The core carries the edge and the softer outer layers take the knocks.

Ash scales riveted three times through a full tang, so the steel runs the whole length of the handle and the balance sits at your pinch grip rather than the butt.
